To further support your experience of learning yoga @ THE INTUITIVE Room we have created an audio recording of the diaphragmatic breathing and the Ujjayi pranayama technique.
We recommend that you practice as often as possible between classes so that your body and mind attune to the many benefits of learning to breathe less and longer using the diaphragm. This is a very calming breathing technique that will support you through stress, anxiety and insomnia.
The Ujjayi Pranayama is a simple breathing technique that will beautifully support your journey with Ashtanga Yoga. It is translated as Victorious Stretching Breath with the full intent of extending the length of your breath in a calm and controlled way. It is recommended that you isolate the breathing to nasal breathing as it will warm, humidify and clean the air we breath. Aim for the same length of breath and an equal sound to both the inhale and exhale.
