I am a lifelong lover of yoga. My practice has been evolving for 20 years. Initially drawn to the nurturing qualities of yoga after a car accident, I explored the benefits of yoga as a healing tool, a natural balm to physical and emotional trauma. Through healthy living, body and breath awareness, daily asana practice and meditation, I overcame post traumatic stress and developed inner resilience and physical strength.
More recently a study of the philosophy of yoga has enabled a renewed awareness that we are all connected, that through yoga we can all be content and satisfied, at peace, loving and compassionate. We can be observant before reacting, forgiving and humble. Yoga is path to giving back and to be of service to others; it is a means to strip away the layers of ego, in order to reveal our true selves.
I am passionate about bringing aspects of yoga to life, not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally. My classes are Hatha-inspired and are a combination of dynamic, nurturing, relaxing and sure to take you on a journey of self-discovery, to remind you how amazing yoga can make you feel. My classes are best described as a fusion of Hatha, Vinyasa flow through to Yin, always addressing the needs of students and safely introducing them to new challenges and possibilities.
